To help raise funds for the Community Foundation of Greater Chattanooga’s COVID-19 relief efforts, Market Street Partners, PLLC, a dual-market, Chattanooga-based accounting firm, is presenting the Community Classic Golf Tournament, hosted by the McLemore Golf Club. The event is slated for Tuesday, Aug. 25.

“Every single day, we become more aware of the economic devastation experienced across our area, brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Kyle Bryant, CPA, and founding partner at Market Street Partners.
“As they have countless times before, the Community Foundation of Greater Chattanooga quickly stepped up as a champion, this time to provide aid for those whose livelihoods were upended by COVID-related disruptions. Our goal with the Community Classic is to raise as much money as possible for the Community Foundation’s Community Response and Resilience Fund that is helping those in dire need. And, of course, we’re excited that the McLemore Golf Club has agreed to host the event at their beautiful course on Lookout Mountain.“

Officials said, "The Community Response and Resilience Fund was established in March 2020, and was designed to support the most vulnerable in our community by providing flexible resources to organizations serving those who are disproportionately impacted by COVID-19 and its economic consequences. To date, more than $1,095,000 has been awarded to 26 local nonprofits and front-line organizations serving our community during the COVID-19 pandemic."

“This crisis has demonstrated that our community responds to a challenge with a helping hand and a spirit of kindness,” said Maeghan Jones, president of the Community Foundation of Greater Chattanooga. “Thanks to the efforts of Market Street Partners and the generosity of everyone who participates in this event, the Community Foundation will be able to support non-profit organizations serving our most vulnerable neighbors during these tough times.”
